How to upload posts from CSV

Learn how to upload posts to FeedHive using CSV

FeedHive allows you to bulk upload posts from a file using CSV.

You can do that from Posts → Import Posts (below the table)

Before uploading a CSV file, make sure it's saved on the right format.
The CSV file should follow this format below:

Text, Title, Media URLs, Labels, Social Medias, Scheduled

You can download an example CSV file here.

Let's take a look at each of these fields:

Text

The text that the post will contain.
This is the main content of the post.

Title

If the post is scheduled for social media that requires titles (e.g. YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business), you can add it in this field.

Media URLs

To add images or video, you can put a comma-separated list of media URLs in this field.
These will automatically get uploaded and applied to the post.

Labels

You can add a comma-separated list of labels to apply to your posts.

Social Medias

You can add a comma-separated list of the names of your social accounts here.
These socials will automatically be assigned to the post. If two social media accounts have the same name, they will both be assigned.

Scheduled

If you want to schedule the post directly, you can add a date and time here.
Note that the date is in ISO time. So if you want to schedule in another timezone, make sure to adjust for the time difference when you put your date here, or include the timezone in an ISO date format (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss.sssZ).

Create a CSV file from a Spread Sheet

You can create a new Google Spread Sheet and create your posts in a table like the example below.

When you are ready, you can now download this table as CSV by clicking File → Download → Comma-separated values (.csv)

The file you will end up with will look something like below.

You can upload this file directly to FeedHive, and the posts will be imported.

Create a CSV file from Airtable

Another popular tool for managing data is Airtable.

Consider a table like the one below.

In order to download this as CSV, all you have to do is click Grid view → Download CSV

This will give you a file identical to the one from the example above.

All you have to do is upload this file in FeedHive, and all your posts will be available on the posts page.
